State University May Raise Tuition 41%

The board that governs the State University of New York system proposed a 41% tuition increase as the state faces a budget deficit of up to $2.5 billion.
The proposal would raise annual tuition for in-state undergraduates by $1,400 to $4,800. About 161,500 full- and part-time undergraduates study at SUNY’s 34 campuses.
