A matter of taste

Share

Bijan’s obsession with superficialities and the trappings of wealth and celebrity is pathetic (“More Is More,” Jan. 5). He is completely oblivious to the plights of millions of suffering people in his country of origin, Iran. As far as his capabilities as a designer are concerned, his designs are the epitome of vulgarity and bad taste, regardless of their astronomical price tags. The ultimate irony is his picture in front of the Botero painting, totally unaware that the painting is a wicked mockery of the self-centered rich he calls his clients.
