Israeli Soldiers Kill Two Palestinians
A Palestinian fixing a satellite dish on his roof in the Gaza Strip was shot to death by Israeli troops, Palestinians said.
In the West Bank, troops tracked down and killed a Palestinian who allegedly took part in an attack on a Jewish settlement. Later, dozens of Jewish settlers rioted in the West Bank city of Hebron in response to the attack on Kiryat Arba.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told Newsweek that a peace plan being crafted by the U.S., the U.N., the European Union and Russia shouldn’t be taken seriously. He did not specify what he objected to in the so-called quartet plan.
