Death Toll Climbs to 41 in Mudslides

Rescue crews sifting through the destruction left by recent mudslides in the central Brazilian state of Minas Gerais recovered four more bodies, bringing the death toll to 41.
Torrential rains have swept through the state since Thursday. The floods and mudslides that resulted washed away 29 bridges and 2,500 homes, according to civil defense officials.
So far, more than 8,000 people have evacuated their homes. An additional 1,368 have been left homeless.
