From Times Wire Reports
Federal health officials are warning residents to remain cautious about a fire that has billowed smoke from an excavation business for two weeks, despite officials finding no high levels of carcinogenic chemicals.
“We definitely are concerned,” said Michelle Rogow of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Federal officials will use foam to extinguish the fire, which covers the size of a football field. Officials, who previously used water and bulldozers to attack the fire, estimate it could continue burning for two weeks.
