A critic’s wife

Share

Over the years I have clipped out and made many of your recipes with varying degrees of success. But I have always been afraid to try the fish dishes. I became inspired reading about Maria Helm Sinskey’s casual dining style in the wine country (“By Casual Invitation Only,” June 11) and her recipe for roasted halibut with tomatoes and olives. It certainly looked easy and delicious. And it was! I served it to my husband who, after tasting, said it was “of restaurant quality.” High praise indeed (and never before said about my cooking) from someone who should know, Elmer Dills, restaurant critic for KABC-TV Eyewitness News and KRLA Radio. Thanks for a great article.
