Fishermen Safe After Dam Floodgates Open
From Times Wire Reports
Fishermen feared missing on a lake near Blaine were reported safe after their boats were nearly swamped by churning water when a dam’s floodgates opened.
A search of Badin Lake was called off after four boats that had been near the dam were accounted for and no one was missing, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Det. Dennis Herrelson said.
The boats were banged up but all right, he said. The dam separates Badin and High Rock lakes.
