1-Acre Fire Kills All 67 Goats on Property
From Staff and Wire Reports
A fire, apparently started when a pile of manure spontaneously ignited, scorched a 1-acre parcel in Mojave Desert this week, killing 67 goats.
A neighbor reported the fire and arriving firefighters found a 150-by-20-foot structure and a grassy area ablaze, a fire inspector said. The flames were out in about 20 minutes.
All the goats had been held in a pen.
