After his car overturned on Interstate 15 in Nevada, a Burbank man suspected of killing his wife was arrested by Las Vegas police Wednesday night. He was airlifted to a hospital.

Police believe Joong Myung Kim, 53, killed his wife, Young Sun Cho, 45, late Tuesday or early Wednesday and fled to Nevada to avoid arrest, Burbank Police Lt. Kevin Krafft said.

Her body was found by her 16-year-old daughter in the family’s apartment on the 600 block of East Cedar Avenue. Authorities declined to say how she died.

Burbank police broadcast a statewide bulletin with a description of Kim’s car. The couple had a history of marital problems and Kim had threatened to kill his wife “on several occasions,” Krafft said.

About 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said, Kim had a solo vehicle accident in his 1999 Toyota Camry near Primm Valley, Nev.

Las Vegas police arrested him after a California Highway Patrol officer ran the car’s license plate and learned that a no-bail arrest warrant had been issued for Kim. The suspect was being treated at a Clark County, Nev., hospital for minor to moderate injuries, Krafft said.
