Eight to Split Reward of $250,000 in Smart Case
From Times Wire Reports
Eight people will share a $250,000 reward offered in the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case, Salt Lake City said. Most of those getting the money have asked for anonymity.
After an investigation of information that led to the girl’s safe return on March 12, Mayor Rocky Anderson and Police Chief Rick Dinse concluded that the eight would split the reward in equal shares of $31,250.
The money was raised mainly through private donations but administered by the city.
