From Times Wire Reports

Saudi police said they raided a farm in the central Qasim region where militants were holed up, touching off a battle with firearms and grenades that killed six suspects and two officers. At a Cabinet meeting, King Fahd said the raid showed the government’s determination “to deter anyone who would consider violating the security of the nation and its citizens,” the official Saudi Press Agency reported.

A series of raids has been staged since suicide attacks killed 25 people and nine militants in Riyadh on May 12.
