Politician in Scandal Dies While Skydiving

Juergen Moellemann, a German opposition politician tainted by allegations of anti-Semitism, plunged to his death while skydiving, after prosecutors raided his home to probe charges of fraud and tax evasion.
The former Cabinet minister and deputy chancellor, 57, died near the town of Marl. Witness accounts fueled speculation about a possible suicide. “He let go the main parachute and ... didn’t pull the emergency parachute,” one man said.
