Field Might Be to Royal N Rowdy’s Liking

Share

Victories have been difficult to come by for Royal N Rowdy in the last couple of years.

The 5-year-old Royal Quick Dash gelding, who is owned by Johnny Trotter and trained by Blane Schvaneveldt, has lost 17 of 18 since the beginning of 2002 while facing some classier runners.

Perhaps Royal N Rowdy can win for the first time since July 11 in tonight’s eighth, a $13,550 allowance at 400 yards.

Sixth in the California Challenge Championship in his last race on May 31, the gray has been chasing the likes of Whosleavingwho, Harley Man, Catchmeinyourdreams, Dinastia Toll, A Ransom and Agouti since he last won. He faces no such animals tonight and will be ridden by Gary Boag.
