Cruise line misses an opportunity

We recently sailed to Cozumel, Mexico, on our first cruise. When the weather did not permit an afternoon snorkeling trip, we contacted the ship’s desk about alternative activities. The recommendation was that we relax and enjoy a free afternoon or go shopping because there wasn’t much else to do.

We consulted a travel guide and found out about the Museum of the Island of Cozumel. It was a fine museum, with a model of a traditional home. It is a shame cruise ships don’t provide more information about what’s available in ports other than the tours and stores from which they make a profit.
