CBS’ new comedy “My Big Fat Greek Life” held up well in its Sunday-night time slot, after a splashy debut last week following “Everybody Loves Raymond.”

The program, adapted from the hit independent film, averaged 16.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research estimates, compared to 14.4 million watching the second-place finisher, Fox’s “The Simpsons.” That represents a respectable drop of 28% from the audience that watched the “Greek” premiere.
