Walt Disney Co. said war jitters had slowed travel to some of its theme parks and that there had been a hint of weakness in a strong advertising market.

Chief Executive Michael Eisner said California Disneyland attendance still was strong, bolstered by drive-in visitors, but at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in Paris, which typically are air destinations, business conditions were “a little more tentative.”

Disney shares fell 75 cents to $16.05 on the New York Stock Exchange. Shares of Disney media rivals declined as well: Viacom fell $1.65 to $35.41 and Vivendi Universal fell 75 cents to $13.03, both also on the NYSE.
