Military coroners have ruled as homicides the December deaths of two prisoners at the U.S. base in Bagram, Afghanistan, a military spokesman said. A U.S. Army investigation continues, Col. Roger King said.

One prisoner died Dec. 3 and the other Dec. 10 at the makeshift prison in the U.S. compound, where an unknown number of inmates are held. The autopsies found that both men had been beaten, and one had a blood clot in his lung, King said.
