Injunction Seeks to Stop Expanded Indian Casino

A federal judge is weighing a request for a temporary injunction to block a landless Sonoma County Indian band from turning a San Francisco-area card room into a full-fledged casino.
U.S. District Judge David Levi spent nearly two hours Friday questioning attorneys on a motion by a group of card rooms and charities to prevent the government from taking control of Casino San Pablo and turning it over to the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians. Levi gave no indication when he would rule.
