California Doesn’t Speak for the U.S.

Share

Finally some news in The Times that should please President Bush: His approval rating is lower in California than in the nation as a whole (“Many Fault Handling of Iraq,” March 6). This can only mean that he is connecting with a majority of Americans.

Unlike the liberal-fringe California populace that worships the gods and goddesses of the entertainment industry who have made a sport of lampooning the president, most Americans approve of the president’s message, sincerity and leadership. California continues to move further to the left, and away from the mainstream of America.

Don’t worry, Mr. President, fortunately California is not a barometer for the rest of the country. For France maybe, but not for America.
