Burglar Executed for Killing Fisherman
From Times Wire Reports
A convicted burglar who robbed and killed a fisherman while out on parole for the fourth time was executed by lethal injection in Huntsville.
Bobby Glen Cook, 41, asked for forgiveness and repeated his assertion that he shot Edwin Earl Holder, 42, in February 1993 in self-defense.
Cook, who had been convicted theft and burglary, admitted to being a methamphetamine addict.
Cook was the 10th Texas prisoner executed this year and the 299th since the state resumed capital punishment in 1982.
