A Laguna Beach councilman pleaded not guilty Friday to a felony conflict-of-interest charge for allegedly brokering a deal on two properties the city bought in 2001, officials said.
Wayne Baglin was mayor at the time and worked as a real estate broker. He was indicted Oct. 31, a day after five city officials testified before a grand jury convened by the Orange County district attorney’s office.
A pretrial hearing is set for April 4.
