D.A. to Investigate Academy Sex Charge

For the first time since a sexual assault scandal broke within the Air Force Academy, civilian authorities are investigating an allegation, said Assistant El Paso County Dist. Atty. Dan May.
A victim contacted his office and “asked if we would consider state charges,” he said.
The Air Force is investigating allegations female cadets at the academy in Colorado Springs were reprimanded or ostracized for reporting sexual assaults.
