Prime Minister’s Trip to U.S. Is Canceled
From Times Wire Reports
Pakistan, a key ally in the U.S. war on terror but a strong critic of the war on Iraq, has canceled Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s visit to Washington next week.
The Muslim nation also called off today’s National Day parade of military might and a South Asian mini-Olympics because of the Iraq war.
A Pakistani Foreign Ministry official said Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s visit to Islamabad would proceed.
