Airborne in Talks to Sell Operations to DHL

Airborne Inc. said it is negotiating to sell its ground operations to Germany’s DHL Worldwide Express for cash at a premium over the express mail company’s current stock price.
Seattle-based Airborne was worth more than $800 million at Friday’s closing stock price.
Airborne shares rose $1.36, or 8.2%, to $18.05 on the New York Stock Exchange.
