New Superintendent Picked for National Park

Russell Galipeau, a 22-year veteran of the National Park Service, has been selected as the new superintendent of Channel Islands National Park.
Galipeau, 42, has been in charge of resources management at Yosemite National Park. He also has experience in the system’s largest park, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve in Alaska, as well as at Everglades National Park in Florida.
