Quentin Richardson did not play Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center, a bruised left knee forcing him to the sideline for a second consecutive game.

Keyon Dooling is expected to play again soon after sitting out for 19 games because of a strained left foot.

Elton Brand, who has been sidelined for the last 16 games because of a stress fracture above his left ankle, awaits the results of a weekend MRI exam.

“There’s nothing new about our team,” interim Coach Dennis Johnson said. “Everybody’s playing who’s supposed to be playing. It’s the same 12 players we’ve had on our roster [recently]. Every one of them is playing. Everybody is ready to go.”

Of Brand, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, Johnson said, “I know he wants to get back and play. I also know he has to be smart and listen to what the doctor has to say. He played on it [before going on the injured list Feb. 28]. He likes to be on the court. He likes to play a lot of minutes. He’s so productive that you don’t want to take him out.”
