Antiwar demonstrators turned out by the tens of thousands from South Korea to Germany, jeering outside U.S. embassies and in one case forming a 31-mile human chain.
More than 100,000 people protested in Germany, half of them in Berlin. About 30,000 people held hands along the 31 miles between the northwestern cities of Muenster and Osnabrueck.
Hundreds of women protested in Sana, Yemen, 10,000 turned out in Port Said, Egypt, and 15,000 in Athens. Thousands also marched in Boston.
