Guess Inc. said co-founder Armand Marciano had resigned, more than two decades after he and two brothers started the fashion jeans maker and retailer.
Marciano, who was senior executive vice president, had been on medical leave from the Los Angeles-based company since November.
Guess soon will file a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the sale of 5.05 million company shares held by a trust controlled by Marciano, the company said.
Guess had no comment on Marciano’s reason for resigning or what he may do next. The company also did not say whether Marciano would be replaced.
