NPR will add show from L.A.

National Public Radio, which already serves up “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered,” plans to add another weekday newsmagazine in July.

“Day to Day,” intended for midday broadcast, will be hosted by NPR correspondent Alex Chadwick and co-produced by the online magazine Slate, whose writers and editors will contribute.

Each day’s hourlong show will originate from NPR’s studios in Los Angeles. But no local public radio station has signed up to carry it yet.
