Cyclist Killed During Training

Japanese cyclist Haruko Fujinaka was killed in a crash Saturday morning while practicing for an event at Snow Summit Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake.
Fujinaka, 33, appeared to clear a jump but lost control in the air and fell to the ground around 10 a.m.
She was taken to a hospital, and then transported by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The Kyoto native was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m.
