at Cleveland, 5, Oxygen

Site -- One Center Court.

Radio -- KPLS (830), after the Duck-Devil game.

Records -- Sparks 1-0, Rockers 0-0.

Record vs. Rockers (2002) -- 1-0.

Update -- Nikki Teasley was the only starter who didn’t join the party Saturday, going 0 for 6 (0 for 3 from three-point range) in the Sparks’ 82-73 season-opening win over the Connecticut Sun. “She’s fighting through a couple of nagging injuries, but she’ll get better,” Coach Michael Cooper said. The Rockers are expected to be vastly improved from the team that stumbled to a 10-22 record last season after winning the regular season Eastern Conference championship the previous season. The Rockers used the draft’s top pick on 6-foot-2 LaToya Thomas, an All-American forward from Mississippi State, sent veteran forward Rushia Brown to Charlotte for Pollyanna Johns-Kimbrough, and selected veteran guard Betty Lennox in the dispersal draft.
