Tribe Seeks Help in Adding Hotel to Casino

The Tachi Yokuts tribe wants to expand its gaming center, and is asking for help from Kings County.
Officials of the Palace Indian Gaming Center want the county to help them finance a $95-million project that would add a hotel to the casino.
The tribe would save a few million dollars, and the local community would gain jobs and tourism dollars, supporters said. “From an economic point of view,” said Kings County Supervisor Tony Oliveira, “the things that they are proposing make all the sense in the world.”
