Mondays: Fun or frustrating?

Adam Tschorn’s “Cultural Divides and Laugh Lines” [Nov. 6] was both thoroughly researched and well thought out.

Take his comments about Mo Betta Mundays at the Improv. I couldn’t agree more that hanging pictures of comedic greats on the wall makes the Improv “dorky,” while the availability of hair gel in the bathroom makes a comedy club cool. Lord forbid I try to laugh on a Monday night (emphasis on the “try”) and have my hair lose its crispness.

Could it be that Monday is a slow night and many of the black comics can’t get work on the weekend shows, which are 80% white? Mo Betta Mundays is successful because of hard promoting and the rare opportunity to be seen.
