Man May Face Life in Prison for Killings

A man convicted of robbing and murdering the owners of a jewelry store could be ordered to spend life in prison without possibility of parole when he is sentenced Dec. 15, Deputy Dist. Atty. Kenneth Loveman said Thursday.
A jury on Wednesday found Fereydun Shahidzaeh, 55, guilty of killing Garbis Tarakjian, 52, and Mayda Tarakjian, 45. They were shot to death in May 2002 at Elegant Creations in Fine Jewelry, 4219 Lankershim Blvd.
Police arrested Shahidzaeh after reviewing a store surveillance camera.
