New Concealed Weapons Law Is Blocked by Judge

A judge issued a temporary restraining order delaying the state’s new concealed weapons law until the Missouri Supreme Court determines if the measure is constitutional.
Circuit Judge Steven Ohmer ruled the law warranted further review by the state’s high court and would have caused irreparable harm had it taken effect today.
Missouri became the 45th state to authorize concealed guns in some way when the Legislature overrode Gov. Bob Holden’s veto last month.
