Konami Corp. is the latest video game company to locate offices in Los Angeles. The Tokyo company is expected today to announce it will open a 30-person business development and licensing office in Century City led by the head of the conglomerate’s $700-million video game business, Kazumi Kitaue.

Los Angeles in recent years has attracted a number of game companies looking to develop relationships and products with the movie and music industries. Electronic Arts Inc., for example, is building a 245,000-square-foot studio in Playa Vista.

Konami, which has licensed movie rights for its “Silent Hill” series of games, said it would maintain its development studio in Redwood City, Calif.
