Procter & Gamble Co. must face a suit brought by hairstylist Vidal Sassoon over a decision to stop selling Sassoon-branded products in North America and Europe.
U.S. District Judge Margaret Morrow in Los Angeles denied Procter & Gamble’s request to dismiss the claims before trial.
Cincinnati-based P&G; argued that Sassoon couldn’t claim a breach of fiduciary duty because he had sold his company’s product division in 1983 to Richardson-Vicks, which P&G; acquired in 1985.
