From Times Wire Reports

Crowds burned cars and buses and blocked roads near Jamaica’s Montego Bay airport to protest the killing of two men by police.

Police fired into the air and used tear gas to disperse the 4,000 protesters, but the crowds regrouped, tossing bottles at officers and preventing them from moving burned vehicles from the roads leading to the city’s airport. Protesters set a fire that cut off access to a resort, local radio reported. No injuries were reported.

The protests began after police shot and killed two men in their 60s who officers said opened fire on them. Residents said police fired first.
