From Bloomberg News

WorldCom Inc. said it had found no evidence to support allegations made by its biggest competitor, AT&T; Corp., that the company illegally routed calls to avoid paying fees.

Three days before a court hearing on WorldCom’s plan to emerge from bankruptcy protection next month, the company is fending off allegations from competitors that it avoided paying to use local phone networks.

The Justice Department is investigating the latest claims against WorldCom, which collapsed under an $11-billion accounting fraud.
