Sightseeing Helicopter Plummets Into Ocean
From Times Staff Reports
A helicopter with four sightseers aboard plummeted into the ocean Saturday, but everyone was rescued uninjured, the Coast Guard said.
Three men and a 14-year-old boy were watching a water ski race from the helicopter about 12:35 p.m. when it slipped into the water at the Long Beach Shoreline Marina.
Coast Guard spokeswoman Dawn Butler said lifeguards and a rescue boat had pulled the victims to safety. They were treated at the scene, she said.
