GM Sees Eventual End to Incentives

General Motors Corp., whose buyer incentives have driven a price war in the U.S. auto industry over the last two years, said cash rebates and financing deals could moderate and even decline soon.

“Incentives will be with us for a while,” Chief Executive Rick Wagoner told journalists at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. “If we want to keep the auto market strong, we have to be aggressive.”
