Dorrell on Hot Seat? Let’s Cool It Already

Share

Coach Bill Plaschke is all over Karl Dorrell for his allegedly placid sideline demeanor [Sept. 7]. Give me a break! The Bruins played pretty well and would have won had it not been for a couple of dropped passes and a makable field goal that was missed. Their tackling was particularly sharp, something woefully absent during the Toledo era.

Considering the Bruins were at 5,000 feet, playing on the road against a top-25 team that had already played and won one game, and that they lost their starting quarterback in the first quarter, they showed both spunk and talent.

I’ll take a quiet coach who puts a solid team on the field any day.

Plaschke should try reporting on something substantive.

Karl Dorrell, don’t let Bill Plaschke’s second-guesses get to you. After all, every playoff season he tells Phil Jackson how to coach and Mike Scioscia how to manage.
