Meet new clients at open houses

In regards to “Open Houses Are of Limited Use” by Heeyoung Kim of Riverside, Letters, Sept 7: The potential is certainly there to sell the property during an open house. Who wouldn’t want to double their earnings on a listing?

In my 25 plus years of experience, I’ve learned that an open house is an excellent way for agents to market themselves and to gain new clients -- both buyers and sellers. Where else can agents put themselves in front of so many potential clients, in such a short time, with so little expense?
