Murder Charge in Canadian’s Death

An agent for Iran’s Intelligence Ministry was charged with “semi-premeditated murder” in the death of a Canadian photojournalist, according to the Tehran prosecutor’s office.
Zahra Kazemi, 54, a Canadian of Iranian origin, was detained in June for taking photographs outside a Tehran prison during protests. After 77 hours of interrogation, she was rushed to a hospital. She died 14 days later.
