School Board Puts Off Vote on Cell Phone Ban
From Times Staff Reports
The Board of Education on Tuesday postponed its discussion on whether cell phones should be banned on campuses, citing the need for more input from school staff.
“We need to give more thought to this,” said Supt. Roy Romer, who initially proposed continuing an outright ban on cell phones.
The board will revisit the issue on Oct. 14.
