Foreign Workers Add to U.S. Job Woes

One of the reasons the U.S. is having problems creating jobs is the easy access to foreign labor in the form of the largely unregulated H-1B and L-1 visa program (“A Recovery High on Efficiency, Low on Jobs,” James Flanigan, Aug. 24).

Considering the current unemployment figures and the extended duration of the employment downturn, there is no longer any credible evidence of a shortage of computer programmers, architects, accountants, teachers or lawyers.
