Fight the Blight

Now that the L.A. City Council intends to clear up the news rack blight on our city, its next target should be those unsightly bus benches (April 1). If there is any object that obliterates the beauty of our city, it is those ugly benches. I don’t care if they will hold up better than our old benches; they should be removed from our landscape. Even if we gave them away, I don’t think any other city would want them.
