Canada won its eighth women’s world hockey championship Tuesday night, beating the United States, 2-0.

Hayley Wickenheiser and Delaney Collins scored for Canada, which has beaten the United States in all eight finals since the tournament began in 1990. Canada has lost only one game in tournament history, falling, 3-1, to the Americans on Saturday.

“This has been an unbelievable experience,” Canadian captain Cassie Campbell said. “Our eighth championship in a row, how sweet does that sound?

Wickenheiser opened the scoring at 4:17 of the second period, taking a drop pass from Danielle Goyette and beating goalie Pam Dreyer.
