Our Drugged Society

Re “For Every Little Problem, a Pharmaceutical Answer” (Voices, April 3) and “Drug Profits Over Health” (letters, April 3): I found both items to be “on the money.” I hope someday the giant pharmaceutical companies will be held to the same scrutiny that other corporations are regarding their dangerous products. We are bombarded by commercials touting the “benefits” of drugs that will make men sexual “tigers” -- what kind of message are we sending to our children who are listening to these inane ads? Has everyone lost their collective minds?
