Affordable Housing

Regarding your April 19 article about affordable housing in Mission Viejo: We as a nation must surely be damned if this is the direction in which we are headed. The debate was not about the suitability of a housing site in a commercial-zoned area but rather about the suitability of an economic class to live in a community. The arguments of color or race have been replaced by income. The concept that one’s value is akin to one’s earning potential is not a huge leap from the concept that God’s favor is determined by one’s race, religion or nationality.
